On behalf of the Alvarado Fire Department (AFD), I welcome you to our official web page. My name is John Rodgers and I was hired as your Fire Chief on May 23, 2022. I spent the last 25 years as a member of Waxahachie Fire-Rescue. I have been married to my wife Lauri for the last 28 years and we have two amazing daughters, Abigail and Anna.

I am extremely proud to be a member of The Alvarado Fire Department and The City of Alvarado Family. We enjoy a very unique and extraordinary community, poised for exponential growth in the very near future. Our goal is to provide our Citizens and Visitors with the utmost feeling of safety and security at all times. Our success is only possible through the ongoing dedication, commitment and professional service of our City and Fire Department Staff.

Our mission is to provide the highest level of customer service through care and compassion. With that in mind, we are here to serve you in any capacity necessary. In addition to fire protection and emergency medical services, we offer infant car seat installation, smoke detector installation, fire extinguisher classes, CPR classes, door unlocks, fire station tours, life jacket loan program, emergency management and a host of other public relation events.

I hope you find the information on this site helpful. For those that would like a more in depth look at our operation, please feel free to call, email, or visit us at the Fire Station. Please reach out anytime.

Blessings,

John Rodgers, Fire Chief / EMC
